10 Tips to Clear Skin: Video and Article for Natural Flawless Skin

Having gorgeous, flawless skin is a high priority for most people and some spend hundreds of dollars on skin care products to achieve glowing skin. However, there are several easy (and free!) steps that you can take to get naturally flawless skin. Below are ten of our favorite tips to clear skin.

Tip #1 – Drink lots of water

When you’re dehydrated, your skin produces more oil because it’s dry, and oily skin leads to clogged pores. Drinking the recommended 8 glasses of water each day will ensure that your skin is properly hydrated. If you need to, add cucumber, lemon, or try rosewater!

Tip #2 – Exercise

Some doctors recommend exercising for 15 minutes every day. If that’s not possible for you, try to exercise at least 20 minutes three times a week. Exercise is not only great for your physical form, but sweating also helps eliminate toxins from the body, which leads to clearer skin. And don’t forget to wash your face before and after every workout!

Tip #3 – Consume more anti-oxidants

Berries are rich in anti-oxidants as well as grapefruits and green tea.

Tip #4 – Watch what you eat

Cut back on fried foods, fast foods, sugary drinks and some dairy products. These foods and beverages are known to clog pores, so avoid them as much as possible.

Tip #5 – Remove makeup before bed

After a long night, removing your makeup is the last thing that we want to do some nights, but it’s so crucial in maintaining healthy skin. If you struggle with this, leave makeup removal wipes next to bed to make it easy!

Tip #6 – Keep hair out of your face

If you tend to have oily hair, try to keep it out of your face. If you have bangs, wash them daily. Also be sure to wash your pillowcases frequently to avoid buildup that could rub on to your face overnight.

Tip #7 – Avoid oil-based products

Oil is a huge factor when it comes to having clear skin. Especially if you have oily skin, try to avoid oil-based foundation and other products like sunscreen.

Tip #8 – Learn your skin type

There are four skin types – normal, dry, oily or combination. Knowing your skin type will make it easier when buying new products and ensure that you purchase the best product for your skin type.

Tip #9 – Clean anything that touches your face

Use antibacterial wipes on anything that will touch your face, like your cell phone, glasses, sunglasses, etc. These items are known to be a hotbed for germs, oil, and dirty – all stuff you don’t want on your face, so be sure to clean them often.

Tip #10 – Don’t overwash your face

Washing your face daily is very important, but be sure to not overwash it and use a mild face wash when necessary. Over washing can dry out your skin and make it susceptible to bacteria.
